Advertising Policy

Maintaining clear separation between commercial and editorial content

Our Commitment

AI Business Review maintains a strict separation between advertising and editorial content. Advertising is essential for sustaining quality journalism, but it must never compromise our editorial independence or readers' trust.

Core Principle: Advertisers cannot and do not influence what we cover, how we cover it, or when we publish.

Guiding Principles

🔒

Separation

Editorial and advertising teams operate independently

🏷️

Labeling

All paid content is clearly identified

🚫

No Influence

Ads don't affect editorial decisions

👁️

Transparency

All relationships disclosed

Content Labeling Standards

We use clear, consistent labels to distinguish commercial content from editorial content:

Display advertising, banner ads, and traditional promotional content paid for by advertisers.

Sponsored Content

Articles or features paid for by a sponsor but created by our editorial team or clearly attributed external writers.

Sponsored

Partner Content

Content produced in collaboration with a commercial partner, with clear disclosure of the relationship.

Editorial-Advertising Firewall

We maintain strict separation between editorial and commercial operations:

  • No Preview: Advertisers do not receive advance notice of editorial content
  • No Review: Advertisers cannot review or approve editorial content before publication
  • No Adjacency Guarantees: We do not guarantee ads will appear alongside specific editorial content
  • Separate Teams: Editorial staff do not participate in advertising sales; commercial staff do not influence editorial decisions
  • Cooling-Off Period: Subjects of negative editorial coverage may not advertise for 30 days after publication to avoid perception of influence

Sponsored Content Guidelines

When we publish sponsored content:

  • It is clearly labeled with "Sponsored" at the top of the page
  • The sponsor is identified by name
  • The content is visually distinguished from editorial content
  • Sponsored content does not appear in editorial sections or feeds without clear labeling
  • Our editorial team reviews sponsored content for accuracy but sponsors have final say on their messaging

Prohibited Advertising

We Do Not Accept Advertising For:

  • Products or services that are illegal in major markets
  • Misleading or deceptive claims about AI capabilities
  • Cryptocurrency schemes without proper regulatory disclosure
  • Political advertising or advocacy campaigns
  • Products that discriminate based on protected characteristics
  • Competitors of AIU.ac educational programs (conflict of interest)
  • Any content that conflicts with our editorial values

We reserve the right to refuse any advertising at our sole discretion.

Reader Trust

Our readers' trust is our most valuable asset. If you ever have concerns about the distinction between editorial and advertising content:

  • Email editor@aibusinessreview.org with your concern
  • We will review and respond within 7 business days
  • If labeling was inadequate, we will update it immediately
